THE GINGERALES

Marques Stewart is the Black Raven in another stunning collaboration with rising photographer Tetsunube and Designer Joanne Petit-Frere .

By now you all know our friend - and Gin-Fam member - Marques always does something interesting in front of the camera (also look out for some of the work he’ll be doing behind the lens soon) well he’s done it again this time bringing us a dark moody, almost dystopian vision that perfectly contrast and compliments his earlier work with Tetsunube.

Marques told us it took the hairstylist, Joanne Petit-Frere - who also styled the clothing - all night to add the hair extension for what turned out to be a grueling shoot. By the looks of the finished product, it was all worth it. Miss Petit-Frere is an incredible designer and you can find out more about her here.

Taking Music and Life back to earth. Stunning new photo’s from one of our best. Marques Stewart gets down home - and dare we say - organic for our new photo spread by up and coming french photographer Tetsunube

For those of you who read The Gingerales Blog you’ve already met Marques - Gingerales family member, singer, and model - For those of you who are just getting familiar you can find all you need to know in these amazing photo’s that take us back to the creativity and emotion in nature.

We also caught up with Marques for a quick chat about his photo shoot with Tetsunube and what he has planned for the future.

We know you and Tetsunube worked closely on this shoot. What was the inspiration behind it?

Music and nature and how we find one in the other.

That’s a dope concept. It really comes through in the photos.

Yeah, it really was great to work with him , he really was a creative idealist, without pushing ~ very expressive personal photographer.

You were working on a sort of media art project for COMOTROOVAYSA and their crazy kooky experimental jewelry line, How did you get involved with them?

Joanne Petit fere [founder of comotroovaysa] is a goodfriend of mine she was casting some models for here experimental video shoot and she asked me if i would help her out.

When can we see the results?

They’re still editing the footage … should be ready in a few weeks.

So it sounds like, after taking a break to concentrate on your music, your getting back into modeling full time.

I don’t know if I’m back in it full time. I mean it’s good to see the work come when its good. I really wanna continue to build up my port and submit and make money to fund my music project. but the fall is a good time to start up modeling.

So your music is still very high on your priority list?

It’s always going to be the #1 priority.  I just had a preformance yesterday in our neighborhood garden and did an interview to build awareness for the garden and the community.

ooh, sounds earthy.

Haha EARTHY!…yeah i guess you could say that. That’s what we are trying to save right? so lets make it earthy~

So besides that, we’ve been desperately waiting to hear your music, any plans for a track this year?

Yes. haha

Haha…Nice answer. Get’s right to the point.

I would love to get some music out to people.

So what’s stopping you?

Nothings stopping me. I have just learned things take time when you want them done right and finding good people to work with but the steps to the great Endeavor are being made everyday.

Good point. Something worth doing takes time. Well, when you’re ready to  drop some tunes on us, you know where to find us (Probably standing next to you waiting to get into the club….haha) we can’t wait!
